Tinorso has for years become one of the most prestigious wines of Fattoria Poggio Capponi, also seen the recognition achieved. Long-lasting wine with intense hints of red and black fruit, jam and spices, of consistency and gustative persistence.
This wine comes from Meriot and Syrah vineyards that grow on calcareous and clayey soils of medium texture of the Montespertoli hills, in Tuscany. The system of breeding of these vineyards is low spurred cordon. To increase the quality of the product we limit the production of vines in the vineyards of the Tinorso.
The grapes, after a 20-day maceration, complete the malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, where it remains in maturation for 12 to 18 months. Then the wine is bottled and is refined in the bottle lying down for about 6 months.
