Michelangelo is a red IGT from Fattoria Poggio Capponi produced and vinified with a method known as “Governo all’uso toscano”.
The method, now described in the Chianti and Chianti Classico disciplinary, was already mentioned at the end of the 1700s and involves a drying of a part of the grapes and a second refermentation of the wine produced.
Designed to produce softer and more fruity Chianti, in Fattoria Poggio Capponi it was an inspiration to produce a wine with Syrah and Alicante Bouschet grapes.
The result is a wine with an intense purple color, with aromas of violets, red fruit and berries. On the palate it is soft, fruity with a good concentration of tannins.
A surprise that you can enjoy fresh in summer and will perfectly match your meat and cheese dishes.
