The Chianti Petriccio Montespertoli D.O.C.G. is the typical expression of the Sangiovese grapes of our area. It is a long-lived wine of good concentration, compactness and finesse. The Sangiovese vineyards have been planted in the best farm land. The soils are of medium mixture and the vines are trained by spurred cordon. The production of grapes per plant is kept low to promote better product quality. The grapes make a maceration of about 20 days; the period of maturation of the wine takes place partly in steel tanks and partly in barriques, for about 12/16 months. After the Chianti Petriccio it is bottled and remains in aging in a bottle lying about 6 months.
